Evansville Officers Seek Help for Family that Lost Newborn Child

Evansville Police Officer Jeremy Schmidt and his family suffered a tragic loss recently when their son passed away only four days after being born. Given that the family would only have been eligible for benefits had their newborn child lived for 19 days, they are in dire need of financial assistance to help them cover their funeral expenses. The Evansville Police Association is leading an effort to raise money for this purpose.

Wisconsin Dells Officers Vote Unanimously to Join the WPPA

Through an election administered by the Wisconsin Employment Relations Commission (WERC), Wisconsin Dells’ police officers have elected to join the WPPA.  The officers unanimously chose the WPPA, Wisconsin’s largest law enforcement group, over their long-time representative, AFSCME Council 40.

The WPPA continues to grow because more officers recognize the superior services it provides to Wisconsin’s law enforcement community.  And given the many challenges facing that community, it’s clear that no one is more capable than the WPPA when it comes to protecting and promoting public safety, as well as the interests of the dedicated men and women that serve to provide it.
