WPPA Statement Regarding Violent Unrest in Milwaukee

[MADISON] – In the aftermath of a weekend of violent unrest following an officer-involved shooting in Milwaukee, the executive director of the Wisconsin Professional Police Association (WPPA), Jim Palmer, issued the following statement:

We are deeply troubled and saddened by the events that followed an officer-involved shooting in Milwaukee. The violence that ensued, which resulted in additional injuries to both law enforcement and civilians alike, was inexcusable, especially while an independent and transparent investigation into the officer-related death is underway.
