Adams Co. Deputy Sheriffs Ass’n. Establish Fund to Help Wounded Officer and His Family

On the evening of February 19, an Adams County deputy sheriff and Rome police officer responded to a complaint of suspicious activity in the town of Big Flats, Wisconsin. The officers made contact with someone inside a residence and shots were fired. Adams County Deputy Todd Johnson was shot and wounded in the incident, and was urgently airlifted to a trauma facility.

Deputy Johnson will fortunately survive his injuries, though his recovery will likely take some considerable amount of time.

The Adams County Deputy Sheriffs Association has established a benefit fund for Todd’s family, to help assist them with the costs of driving and staying in Marshfield where he is hospitalized.
