Dan McCluskey is the City of Onalaska’s K9 Police Officer and devoted husband to Megan (French), a Galesville native and local photographer with amazing talent. Megan owns Atypik Studio in La Crosse. Dan and Megan are proud parents of son Aidan, a freshman at Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau High School.

mccluskeyfamilyIn April of this year, Megan was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer and is currently in treatment. Prior to her diagnosis, she was a perfect match to donate a kidney to their only son Aidan, who is 14 and in renal failure due to complications as a newborn.

The cancer, chemotherapy, radiation and upcoming surgery make her ineligible to donate, thus the search continues for a new donor.

Recently, on July 29, the family’s strength was tested again when they suffered a total loss of their home in a house fire.

Friends and family will hold the McCluskey Family Benefit to support them as they face very emotional times rebuilding the home they lost and facing current and forthcoming medical procedures and expenses for both Megan and Aidan.
