Through separate elections administered by the Wisconsin Employment Relations Commission (WERC), the police officers in both Hartford and Hurley have elected to join the WPPA. The officers almost unanimously chose the WPPA, Wisconsin’s largest law enforcement group, over their long-time representative, AFSCME Council 40.
The WPPA continues to grow because more officers recognize the superior services it provides to Wisconsin’s law enforcement community. And given the many challenges facing that community, it’s clear that no one is more capable than the WPPA when it comes to protecting and promoting public safety, as well as the interests of the dedicated men and women that serve to provide it.
The WPPA welcomes these two new police groups and is eager to begin providing them with the representation they deserve.
