The Officers in Sturgeon Bay Elect to Leave AFSCME for the WPPA

The WPPA is proud to announce that the Sturgeon Bay police officers have voted to leave AFSCME and join the ranks of the WPPA. The Wisconsin Employment Relations Commission announced the results of this election on July 19.

In 2009, the WPPA was the only labor organization in Wisconsin that grew its membership and had a winning interest arbitration record. In fact, for law enforcement arbitrations, the WPPA went undefeated. The results of the Sturgeon Bay election are further proof that the WPPA continues to grow because people recognize that we provide superior services.

The WPPA welcomes the Sturgeon Bay officers and is eager to begin providing them with the representation they deserve.
