MADISON–The Wisconsin Professional Police Association (WPPA) announced today its endorsement of Jennifer Shilling in her campaign to represent the 32th State Senate District. The WPPA’s board of directors, which is comprised of active law enforcement officers from all across the state, overwhelmingly chose to support King after closely evaluating her record against that of the incumbent, Dan Kapanke.
“As a long-time member of the State Assembly, Jennifer Shilling has stood up to protect and promote Wisconsin’s law enforcement community,” said WPPA Executive Director, Jim Palmer. “By contrast, Dan Kapanke recently voted to cut state funding for police services at a time when assaults on officers are increasing at an alarming rate. Given this stark comparison, the choice was clear. Jennifer Shilling will continue to fight to keep us safe in the way that Dan Kapanke has not.”
With over 11,000 members from nearly 400 local association affiliates, the WPPA is the state’s largest law enforcement group.
