The WPPA to Sponsor Black Youth Career Police Academy in Dane County

Partnering with several Dane County law enforcement agencies and the Boys & Girls Club, the WPPA is sponsoring an outstanding educational opportunity for 7th and 8th graders interested in learning more about the law enforcement profession. This youth academy’s mission is to provide students an interactive introduction to police work with real police officers as their teachers and mentors. The classes offered cover important skills not only necessary for law enforcement, but for any profession. Class sizes will be small and officers will have time to make meaningful connections with students.

The Youth Academy is free and students will receive a t-shirt, class supplies, and a daily lunch and snack.
